Polyjacking Solutions in St. Louis
As concrete driveways, patios, and sidewalks settle, it’s very common for them to sink unevenly. This can lead to unsightly cracking and dangerous, uneven walkways. At Ram Jack we are able to fill in the voids that created the damage and return the concrete to at or near its original position.
Polyjacking is quick, clean and easy. A driveway can be lifted in just a couple hours and return to full use after a few hours. Ram Jack’s special poly-mixture is injected through small holes drilled into the concrete and will fully fill the voids underneath. This repair can be done without any damage to the surrounding yard or landscaping.
Mud jacking Vs. Polyjacking
Mud jacking is a solution often offered by other companies. Mud jacking uses a mixture of mud that is very similar to concrete and can take several days before the raised area can return to normal use. It is also thick and heavy, requiring the repair holes to be larger and more of them are needed. Don’t be fooled by how these products start out! polyurethane is much more fluid, it sets up quickly and is just as strong as mud jacking. Polyjacking has even been used to repair airport runways for over a decade!
Concrete Replacement Vs. Polyjacking
Concrete replacement is always another option for broken concrete. However, it is usually double the cost of polyjacking and much more disruptive to your routine and your yard. Newly poured patios and sidewalks can’t be walked on for several hours, and driveways can take many days before they cure enough to be driven on. Plus, between all the heavy equipment, and all the people on site (walking around the work area) there is no chance that your yard will remain in pristine condition. Don’t Replace it, Lift It!
If you have concrete that is sinking, give Ram Jack a call! We’d love to come out and explain just how quickly and easily polyjacking can repair the area...and let you get back to your life.
