Concrete Pile Failure

Concrete Pile Failure

A home in Ada, OK was built on fill soil and 10 ft. deep concrete piles were used to prevent settlement. However, it was not considered that the downhill side contained more than 10 ft. of inferior fill soil. After three years, the home had settled more than 11 inches.

Ram Jack of Oklahoma & Arkansas installed driven steel piles and helicals to stabilize the home. The Ram Jack system went more than 30 ft. deep to achieve load bearing soil and a 10” lift was achieved. To see photos and read the full case study, click here
