Show Your Support for Breast Cancer Awareness!

Breast Cancer AwarenessOctober is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please help us reach our goal of 1000 shares by sharing this flyer on your facebook page.

When we reach 1000 shares, Ram Jack will donate $1000 to Susan G. Komen For The Cure. This foundation has been established to raise awareness about breast cancer and to aid towards prevention and treatment research. Nancy Brinker started the foundation in 1982 after promising her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything she could to find a cure for breast cancer. Since then, the Komen foundation has played a critical role in breast cancer treatment and has helped turned millions of breast cancer victims into survivors.

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Older women are more likely to get breast cancer but it can also happen to women in their 20s. It’s also possible for men to be diagnosed with breast cancer. Out of every one hundred cases of breast cancer, one will occur in a man. Because no one knows exactly what causes breast cancer, there is no certain way to prevent it. However, research has shown some steps that can be taken to reduce the risk. Some of these steps are maintaining a healthy weight, adding exercise to your routine, breastfeeding, and limiting your alcohol intake. With all the donations to the Komen foundation, including the one from Ram Jack, every cent will be used to research and treat breast cancer.
